As part of the program, individuals will lead a grassroots initiative, fostering community involvement and raising awareness about critical healthcare needs in Southwest Missouri.
In addition to training and individualized support, participants will receive:
- Monthly stipends for gas and groceries, removing barriers for transportation and health during cohort participation;
- Supportive services funds for essential expenses such as rent, utilities, childcare, and more – you decide;
- Up to $750 toward a computer, tablet, or reliable internet service for your home, ensuring you have digital access;
- Funding to plan and host an Advocacy Event of your choice!
With access to educational resources and financial support, the Patient Empowerment Project ensures that every participant is empowered to make a lasting impact, advocating for policies that improve care and outcomes. This initiative is a vital step toward creating more informed, engaged, and influential communities.
