“Being a kid from North Saint Louis and only seeing the building in passing and on TV, I never thought that I would be in the building with senators reaching their hand out first to greet me. I have a newfound respect for the people who fight through traffic to fight through parking to fight for what’s right on a daily basis. I went from feeling like I have no chance and my vote would never count to feeling like I could run for a seat and let others see how their voice does count. Overall, amazing, eye-opening day. Thank you for the opportunity to make a change.
