What do you want to be when you grow up?
OACAC launched VOICE in 2014, to help our local elementary students answer this question by fostering awareness of different career paths.
VOICE is a great conversation starter for kids to talk to their families about future dreams and aspirations!
Vocational Opportunities Inspiring Children in Elementary (VOICE) is a project which brings careers to life for kids and encourages them to dream BIG about their futures! For more information on bringing VOICE to your community, contact [email protected]
A collaboration between OACAC, local elementary schools, and youth organizations, VOICE provides a hands-on introduction to six different career paths:
Students, parents, and teachers can learn more about these six career paths from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Research has shown numerous benefits for children who complete an elementary-based career awareness program:
Would you like to schedule a VOICE experience for your school or youth organization? Do you have questions about the program? Please send an email to [email protected].

“I hope you come back next year.”
“I really learned about more jobs than I could ever imagine.”
“I’m really thankful because some people, like in Africa, do not this is kind of stuff and I appreciate that.”
“I really loved the presentation. I could tell that you cared about our future.”
“Thank you for taking time out of your work day to come and inspire us to live our dreams.”
OACAC has a great standing in this community and I wasn’t let down by this simulation.
I want to do good in school so that I can get a cool job someday.
After today, I want to be an architect so I can build cool things!
