Missouri Family Health Council spotlighted OACAC Family Planning in their 3/31/21 newsletter. Here’s the story:

Located in Springfield, Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) Family Planning has been a longstanding Title X subrecipient that also subcontracts with seven local health departments in the surrounding counties.

Providing access to affordable, confidential reproductive and sexual healthcare services in southwest Missouri is the “foundation for the health of an individual, and therefore quick and comprehensive services are necessary in providing an excellent family planning” experience, said Jamie Raab, Director of OACAC Family Planning.

“OACAC Family Planning typically can accommodate same week appointments, which is not the case for many other area health providers. During the pandemic, [we have] been able to continue services when many limited their services available,” Jamie said. “We made adjustments to our clinic schedule and flow to ensure safety for patients and staff, but wanted to ensure we were able to provide family planning services.”

When asked what potential clients can expect when they come to visit OACAC Family Planning, Jamie said, “The most important thing we want someone to walk away with whenever they come into our clinic is that they will always be treated with respect and dignity.”
