12 Oct New Tower Farm in Republic

10/12/22: A ribbon cutting was held today at the Republic Senior Center -Gerry Pool Senior Friendship Center to introduce a Tower Farm to the community. This Tower Farm will serve as a source of nutrition to many, as well as offer opportunities for people to connect and learn new skills in horticulture therapy. Harvested foods will be shared in the local People’s Pantry for all to enjoy.

There are big plans for this Tower Farm to be expanded into a greenhouse which will include beds to grow additional foods. This project is a collaboration between OACAC, Republic Parks & Recreation, and McCauley Foundation. Many thanks to all who brought it to fruition and continue giving time and dedication to cultivate its success.
