WHAT IS WEATHERIZATION? 

Are you looking for ways to cut your energy bill this winter?

The Weatherization Program sponsored by OACAC is a free service for qualified homeowners and renters.

Insulation and air sealing improves the energy efficiency of your home, to help keep you warm in the winter, cool in the summer and reduce your heating and cooling cost.

2.

Weatherization can make your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer to save on utility dollars.

How Do You Apply for Weatherization?

Applications can be accepted by mail or by appointment at the OACAC Neighborhood Center in your county. If you qualify, all work and materials are provided at no cost to you! Apply online using DocuSign or click here to print a paper application.

A home is eligible for re-weatherization after 15 years. OACAC Weatherization is funded by the Department of Economic Development, Division of Energy.

Who Is Eligible for Weatherization?

All applicants must meet the 2024 income guidelines listed below, based on a household income below 200% of the poverty level.

HOMEOWNER EMERGENCY LOAN PROGRAM (HELP)

The Homeowner Emergency Loan Program (HELP) targets low to moderate income owner-occupied residential dwellings, located within the CDBG-eligible boundaries of the City of Springfield, with consultation and funding assistance towards making critical home repairs. HELP is a partnership program between the City of Springfield, Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri, Council of Churches of the Ozarks – Connections Handyman Service, Habitat for Humanity and OACAC.
