Our Services

OACAC Family Planning provides all people with quality sexual reproductive health care by equipping them with information and affordable access to services. We strive to provide timely appointments in a welcoming and inclusive environment to ensure patients have confidential access to services.

All physical exams are provided by licensed health professionals, including a nurse practitioner with advisement of a medical doctor, providing services as our medical director. Clinical staff are trained to provide sensitive education and counseling on your family planning needs and options.

What Family Planning Services Are Available?

  • Education and counseling on your birth control options
  • Prescription and non-prescription contraceptive supplies
  • Routine gynecological exams include the following: (as indicated) Pap smear, Pelvic exam, Breast exam, Weight, Height, Blood pressure, Cholesterol, Hematocrit — test for anemia, HIV testing, Syphilis testing
  • Pregnancy testing, information, and referral
  • Screening and treatment for vaginal infections, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)

BIRTH CONTROL

What Birth Control Options Are Available On Site?

OACAC provides the following prescription birth control methods with a medical exam or clinician consultation:

  • Oral contraceptives (Birth control pills or The Pill)
  • NuvaRing
  • Depo-Provera (Injection)
  • The IUD (Intrauterine device); hormonal and non-hormonal
  • Nexplanon

Nonprescription birth control methods:

  • Plan B emergency contraceptive pills
  • Condoms
  • Natural family planning

Prescriptions available for all the above birth control methods, the patch, and diaphragm, including newer methods such as:

  • Phexxi
  • Annovera

EDUCATION

What Educational Family Planning Services Are Available?

OACAC provides a number of valuable family planning resources to help you make informed decisions:

  • Educational resources: pamphlets
  • Education in clinics for patients
  • Programs in schools, community centers, and other locations upon request

COST

How Much Does Family Planning Cost?

Fees for medical services and contraceptives are on a sliding scale based on income and family size.

Medicaid & managed care plans are accepted

Most private insurance plans
are accepted

No one will be denied service
due to inability to pay
