28 Sep Foster Grandparent Recognition Celebration

September 28, 2022: OACAC Foster Grandparent Volunteers were recognized and celebrated today for the time and heart they put into improving the lives of children. Volunteers serve at stations in a 14-county area of Southwest Missouri.

Today was also a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Foster Grandparent Program at OACAC.

While there were many highlights of the event, one notable highlight included recognition of Grandma Doris who has been a Foster Grandparent Volunteer for 25 years! The teacher she volunteers with attended as her guest and shared in the joy of the occasion.

Thanks to the Sac River Cowboy Church for hosting, to all who helped make this a great event, and to the special guests who attended.
