11 Oct Weatherization Demonstration On 10/24/23

National Weatherization Day is on October 30, and an opportunity to highlight the important work performed by the Energy Department’s Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).

“Through weatherization improvements and upgrades, these households save on average $372 or more every year according to a national evaluation of the program. Since the program began in 1976, WAP has helped improve the lives of more than 7 million families through weatherization services.” energy.gov

Weatherization services may include insulation of attic, floors and walls; weather stripping; repairs to doors and windows; gas heating systems and appliances tested for safety and efficiency; and air sealing.

There will be a live Weatherization demonstration which is open to the community.

When: Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 11:30am – 1pm
