On November 12, 1965, Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation became incorporated. We are proud to continue serving people and communities in Southwest Missouri today.

Did you know? The Community Action movement has its roots in the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. By 1965, all 114 of Missouri’s counties were being served by a local Community Action Agency. Today, there are 19 agencies in the state and more than 1,000 Community Action Agencies nationwide that serve nearly 99% of the counties and territories of the country.
