29 Jan Board Member Of The Month, January 2020

It is with pleasure we recognize Lawrence County Board Member, Karen Simmons, as our Board Member for January 2020.

Karen has a smile for staff and clients when she stops by the office “just to chat and see what’s going on.” She provides respected input for OACAC projects, programs and a genuine concern for the folks living in Lawrence County.  She is always willing to roll up her sleeves and work with staff side by side whether it’s a Board Meeting, Christmas in July (when it’s 1,000 degrees outside), or just sharing her well respected insight and ideas for new projects.

Karen has served as Vice-President of the Lawrence County Advisory board as well as representative to OACAC’s Area Board for four + years and still going strong!

She is steadfast in her dedication to making OACAC a noted and pertinent presence in our shared community.  Thank you, Karen for making our little corner of the OACAC world a better and brighter place to be!
