A Journey of Growth and Transformation with OACAC Head Start by Angie Presley

OACAC Head Start has been a beacon of hope and a pillar of support for my family and me. We are a blended family, and I am a mother of 3 children and 2 bonus children, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible impact this organization has had on our lives. Head Start was able to provide quality consistent and affordable care for all 5 children.

From the very beginning, OACAC Head Start has been dedicated to nurturing and educating my children, providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive. My son received essential dental care, including surgery, thanks to their proactive approach to health and wellness. My daughter was referred for speech services, which have significantly improved her communication skills and confidence.

But the impact of OACAC Head Start extends beyond my children. Inspired by their commitment to education and development, I pursued a degree in Child and Family Development. Today, I am proud to say that I was hired as a Teacher and I am now currently a Supervisor. I have been with OACAC Head Start for 17 years, helping other families experience the same transformative support that we did.

OACAC Head Start is more than just an educational program; it is a community that empowers families, fosters growth, and creates opportunities. My journey with them has been one of learning, growth, and unwavering support, and I am forever grateful for the positive changes they have brought into our lives.
