In her fourth year on the OACAC board, Brenda Howe is very supportive of the people we serve and the programs and projects we offer. She has gone to great care to ensure every child receives an exam from a professional eye doctor during the OACAC Dallas County Neighborhood Center’s Back to School Fair. This averages out to about 140 kids per year! Beforehand, these exams were done by volunteers with eye charts. Brenda also coordinates an eye doctor to be present during Vocational Opportunities Inspiring Children in Elementary (VOICE) project experiences, so elementary age children can learn about this profession.

In addition to being an OACAC board member representing Dallas County, Brenda volunteers with the Area Chamber of Commerce and plays a big part in the annual Christmas parade.
